Family Outing....
We had such a fun day yesterday. The girls started the morning by having breakfast together at the little picnic table that sits in our dining room. They were so cute! They both love the fact that Anna is old enough to sit with her big sister. After breakfast they both sat side by side in the little chair and watched "Miss Pattycake" while we got ready. This is something new they have been doing and it is so sweet to see them. The past few weeks they have really started enjoying one another's company so much more. Kate is finally getting a little calmer around Anna, and Anna just follows Kate around doing whatever she does. Oh how I pray that they grow up loving eachother and cherishing their relationship as sisters. It was so pretty outside today that we decided to take the girls to Grants Farm. Kate loves to go here and ride the tram ride, feed the goats a bottle, get "kettle corn" while we watch the parrot show, and feed the camels out of her hand. Anna loved getting out of the stroller and walking down the path holding our hands. She is so cute now that she is walking. She is really enjoying her new found talent and growing more independent every day. Everyone had a blast today. These are my favorite kinds of days; being outside with all of us together, enjoying the little things. See some pictures of our day below.

Going Swimming
The girls were so cute in their matching bathing suits. Anna kept rubbing her little round belly and Kate was so proud that they matched. They had so much fun at the pool, that is until Kate our little drama queen fell and scraped her knee. It was just a little scratch but she carried on like her leg had been amputated and wouldn't get in the water after that. She limped around for hours after we got home and wouldn't take her bandaid off for days!

Staying Cool!
The past few weeks have been unbearably hot here in St. Louis. As much as I love getting out and being outdoors this has been a little frustrating. However, we have managed to find a few water places the girls love here in order to stay cool and keep our sanity. We have spent a lot of time at Tower Grove Park. They LOVE the large wading pool and sprinklers to play in and I love it because it is big enough for me to get in and play too and it is a fun part of the city to go to. We have also gone to the Aquaport with our good friends and used the slip n' slide here on campus. They don't really care, as long as they can get wet and splash me!

My first blog!
I am so excited to begin this blog. My days are so busy taking care of my girls and trying to keep our tiny apartment somewhat organized that I don't make myself sit down long enough to reflect. I think this will inspire me to do that. I hope to use this blog to capture little pieces of our day to day life as a family that bring me so much joy. The girls are learning and growing so fast, that I don't want to forget the little things. Everyday they bring us so much laughter, melt our hearts into mush, and cause us to stand still in amazement at Gods creation. I also hope to reflect on some of the things God is teaching me in my daily struggle and longing to be a Godly wife and mother and disciple of Him.
