Caleb's First Family Outing

We woke up yesterday morning and decided it was time to go on our first family outing with Caleb! We took the family to one of me and Jeremy's favorite places, Cades Cove. We enjoyed a beautiful, peaceful drive along the 11 mile loop and got to see baby bear cubs running in the field, wild turkey, and a deer. The girls loved riding on our laps through the loop and we all enjoyed the nice breeze coming in the window and the smell of the fresh mountain air! A very refreshing experience for all of us after being stuck inside a lot with a new baby. Kate carried on the whole time, like she was so scared we were going to see a bear, but then when it was time to go home she was so disappointed because she wanted to see more! Little Caleb didn't see a thing because he slept during the entire outing!!

Creek Fun

The girls had the most fun playing in the creek at the end of our drive through the loop. I wasn't sure if Anna was going to be brave enough to get in, but it didn't take her long to get her confidence up and then it was hard to get her out. The only reason she did was because she eventually slid off one of the big rocks into the water, and said, "Mom! Get me out of her, I am soakin' wet!" Luckily we had extra changes of clothes for both girls! They found a lot of "treasures" in the water-(aka rocks!) that they are very proud of and brought home and they can not wait to go back!
