Easter Sunday

Pictures from recent church activities

Our new church family has made the transition back to Knoxville so much better for our family. We really feel blessed to have found such a great body of people to belong to. We are already forming some really great friendships and the girls feel so at home there, and we really look forward to Sundays. Here's a few pictures of some recent events......

Some of our new friends invited us over for dinner and an Easter egg hunt at their house with some other families from church. We had such a great evening of fellowship and the girls had so much fun playing and collecting eggs!!
Last Sunday Kate got to walk down the aisle during one of the songs and "wave the palm branches". This was her first time doing something like this. She looked like such a big girl. We were so proud of her for not chickening out!
Kate loved "flowering the cross" on Easter Sunday with some of the other children. We brought some flowers from our yard that the girls picked themselves to celebrate the resurrection. Anna changed her mind about going up on stage and just let her big sister put her flowers on for her!

Here is Kate with her two new friends she has made at church, Abby and Sadie. Kate was so sad to leave her friends in St. Louis and we have praying for her to find a few special friends here that she can see on a regular basis. She loves to be with people, and really loves her friends!

Spring photo's

We were ready for church a little early last week (which is rare!) and the girls looked so pretty in their matching Spring dresses and the it was so pretty outside too, so I talked them into posing for a few pictures for me. It is also rare that they cooperate so easy for me!

Spring is here!

Spring is in the air! The girls were so excited to wake up one morning and see flowers blooming in our yard. They ran outside, still in pajamas to smell and pick some of our new flowers. Anna's favorite color is yellow, so imagine her delight that they were all yellow!! Needless to say, by the time they were done admiring our new flowers, we had more in vases inside the house, than outside in our yard! We also love that we can now cook out with friends and picnic outside on warm spring evenings. And last but not least, the girls have been loving spring showers!! They could not wait to break out their new umbrellas and rain boots and splash around in the puddles and play in the rain. The biggest surprise of all for us is that our "girly, bug fearing, princess dress wearing girls" LOVE worms!! They found quite a worm collection that they babied and fretted over for quite some time, making sure the worms had everything to make them comfortable and happy in their little "cage" that they designed for them. I cringed every-time they wiggled one of those slimy things in front of me, and I just thought I had at least two years before our little boy would be exposing me to these things!!
