(I'll keep adding to the list as I remember them or as they say them. Because of course when I sit down to write them now, I can't remember!....exactly why I need to make this list in the first place!)
Some words have been permanently renamed by our kids, even Jeremy and I have switched over. For me I knew it had happened when I was at the grocery store and asked the cashier if she had a tennis shoe -and got a blank stare (no wonder, other people call this a tissue) For Jeremy we knew it had happened when he called my from work and said "Hey, I forgot to close the barage when I left, would you mind closing it for me?
Here is our family dictionary so far.
- tennis shoe-tissue
- barage- a garage
- tomatoes- tornados
- 80-90- a term to describe a really big number. For example, "mommy if we go to Disney world we will need to save about "80-90" dollars right?" or "Can I please have 80-90 more minutes mommy, I don't want to stop playing yet?"
- specialization point- exclamation point
- berry footed-bare foot
- sprinkling- the senstation you feel when a part of your body falls asleep. Anna always says "hurry, I need a cold wash because my foot is sprinkling" (the cold wash-cloth helps :0
Funny moments ( just beginning the list)
- Anna told me as we were driving down the road the other day, "Mom, I feel kind of weird riding in this van" me: "what do you mean, Anna?" "Well, because I should be riding in a carriage. You never see true princesses riding in vans"
- or for example, Anna's funny way with her special toys....
- As I was looking at a cookbook the other day, Kate wanted to know what it was and when I told her she said "Oh neat. you should save that for me so I'll know how to cook for my family when I grow up...actually just save me a dessert cookbook because that is all I'll probably make my family eat"
