The girls loved going to the Lake today and playing in the dirt, that Kate kept calling sand. I guess this is the closest we will get to a beach for now! We didn't even have any real sand toys. But they never knew the difference. They were quite content using my measuring cups and spatulas from the kitchen! If we ever make it to the beach anytime soon, I know they will love it. They could have dumped water from the mirky lake and shoveled rocks and dirt into their buckets all day long! Sweet Kate, said "Thanks mommy for taking us to the beach! I love going to the beach!" Oh, to be that innocent and so easily pleased again!
These are the kind of moments I want to capture in my heart forever!
