What an awesome morning for going to the mountains. As you can tell from Caleb's little smile, we think he enjoyed his first hike as well! We all loved being outside together, feeling the cool breeze, seeing our first glimpse of fall in the leaves beginning to turn shades of red and yellow, finding some of God's little creatures along the trail, and just spending time together walking and holding hands and talking about life from a three and five year old's perspective. We have found out how much our family enjoys days like this together, and we hope to use every available weekend in the beautiful Fall season to explore new places together. Today we hiked to Laurel Falls, a perfect little hike for families because it had a paved trail for strollers and it was not too difficult that Kate could make it the whole way. Anna gave it her best shot, but daddy carried her in the back pack on the way back down, and she was so cozy she even took a little cat nap back there!
