The Floyd gang had a fun day together spending it at Forest Park for their annual hot air balloon race. We went with our good friends the Mclellans which made it even better. The girls had a blast playing together while we waited for the balloons to "lift off". It was so fun to see the girl's reactions when the first balloon went up right over our heads. I think they were expecting just regular helium balloons because when Kate saw it she gasped and said "Oh my goodness!" and of course Anna aka "little parrot" repeated her! It is amazing how those gigantic things float way up in the sky. We had never seen them so close before and it was pretty cool to watch. While waiting for the race to start we had fun walking around enjoying all the festivities. The girls rode ponies all by themselves, got to pet a HUGE turtle (that by the way was not slow at all, that guy moved fast!) and played frisbee and ball together on the lawn. Fun times!
