Kate informed me yesterday that it was going to be Penny's birthday today. She has really been loving on her little stuffed dalmation "Penny" a lot lately. So, I just casually said, Well then, we should celebrate and make her feel special" and she jumped up and hugged me and said "Really??? I wanted to ask you if we could, but I thought you'd say no" Well, of course after that...the party was on! And, we had to invite Anna's treasured puppies "Sparkles and Dogga" They could not be left out of the fun. We decided to have the party today after dinner.
So, after school we got busy making chocolate brownies, and Kate wrote Penny a sweet little card, sounding out every word on her very own. We had fun singing Happy Birthday as a family to Penny, Sparkles,and Dogga, and Caleb was just happy for an occasion to have brownies!
