Daddy's Paper's Done!!

The past two weeks have been long for me and the girls because we have been missing daddy. He was out of town two weeks ago for a week and this last week he was working hard all day every day trying to get his paper done for finals. We have all been craving time with him.  So, this morning we woke up to a beautiful day and headed out to enjoy the day together as a family. Of course when we asked Kate what she wanted to do the most she said the Zoo. So, of course that is what we did! The weather was wonderful and we enjoyed eating lunch outside next to the sea lions (mommy's favorite exhibit) and then walked around eating ice cream cones. The dinosaur exhibit just came to our zoo, so we got to see those. They were so realistic and Kate loved the one that squirted water out of his mouth on us. Anna wasn't quite so sure about dinosaurs yet......Every time we go to the zoo Kate always asks to get a face painting (they are strategically set up right by the exit, so every kid has to walk by!)  and this was her lucky week because daddy was really wanting to spoil his girls. She picked a blue elephant and got it right on her arm so she could look at him.... After we left the zoo we stopped by Turtle playground.  This is a really cool park with lots of turtle sculptures for kids to climb on. They thought that was pretty cool, especially when Jeremy climbed in one of the turtles mouths!  After it was all said and done, we had two very exhausted but happy girls. We are all glad daddy is done with his paper!!
