So, sometimes trying to multitask and get things done when you have a one and a three year old is really not a good idea I am learning, and usually ends up creating more work. The girls were painting at the kitchen table this morning and things were really peaceful so I thought I'd use the moment to get a few things done....start a load of laundry, put a few things away etc.....In order to keep them interested in the activity I would come over periodically and ooh and ahh over their creations or holler in from the other room "What are you painting now?". Well, it was working out really well, until I hollered in from the hallway while I was switching the laundry," Hey Kate, what are you girls painting now?" and Kate said, "I am painting a card to give to you, and Anna is just painting her pajamas and the high chair really pretty!" Good thing it is washable! Well, after the painting experience I decided the easiest way to clean up was to put them in the bathtub. I guess I still hadn't learned my lesson, so since I can hear them and see them easily from the kitchen table I started cleaning up some of the paint off of the highchair while they were playing. When I looked into the bathroom I was able to catch the tail end of Kate dipping water with a cup out of the toilet and pouring it into the bathtub! The conversation went sort of like this, Me: "Now Kate, why would you put toilet water into your bath, don't you know that is really dirty" Kate: "Well honey, I checked it first and it was clean and there wasnt enough water in our bath!" So, its that kind of morning, and I think I am done with any kind of housekeeping for now!

Well, honey, that was a no brainer. The bathtub needed more water. Duh.

I laughed and laughed. Play with the girls and let Jeremy do the housework. Ha Ha.

This has to be one of the funniest Kate stories in a while! It just makes sense, one has water, the other needs more, problem-solving 101! love it!!
