Family Hike

We took a family hike at Powder Valley Conservation Center today. Hiking is one of my absolute favorite things to do on a pretty day. I love being in the fresh air, getting exercise, and seeing Gods amazing creations all around. I think Kate and Anna are going to share this love too, so it's a good thing Jeremy is starting to enjoy it a little too!  They both love being outside right now exploring. Lately, when we go outside Kate has been saying "Lets go on a nature walk mommy".  and Anna says "Flowuuss" which means she wants to go pick flowers.  They both like to find different kinds of bugs, spy on bunny rabbits, look for birds nests, and Kate really wants to find a frog sometime. So, today was a fun day for all of us. It was nice and cool, which is the only way Jeremy enjoys a hike, so we were in luck. We packed a picnic which we ended up eating half of in the car because we were all starving! They had several paved trails to choose from, but we decided to do the short one so Kate could walk for the first time. It was only a half mile loop, but at her pace its a good thing it wasn't any longer or we wouldn't have made it back for dinner! We saw lots of new types of "flowuss" and had a fun hike. When we got back to the conservation center we went inside for a little bit and the girls got to see a bee hive and watch bees make honey and they had an window area for "bird watching".  They also had all sorts of animal and reptile statues, but Anna wouldn't get close at all because she said "dae might byete meeeee!!" Her little voice is so cute as she is learning how to communicate her feelings. We cant help but squeeze her all the time!!
